The size of the jar is impressive and it will last you for a really long time. It's hydrating although it leaves a bit of a sticky feeling if you put too much at once. It could be layered 2 times in case you feel you need more hydration, but I don't think the 3rd layer would be absorbed well into the skin. I have oily skin but dehydrated forehead so I layer it twice on the forehead and it soothes the skin.
