I've been using the rice mask for a while and have wanted to try the honey mask, and this dual pack finally made me cave and buy it. I'm glad I did! This package is cheaper than buying them individually.

Rice mask

Texture: light, slippery, creamy

When I use this: at night, as the absolute last step in my routine. This leaves a slight oily texture on my face, so it's not good to layer other stuff on top.

Effects: leaves my skin very moisturized. I have acne-prone skin, so I use a lot of exfoliating acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinol, etc to control it, but it leaves my skin very dry. Immediately after applying this, my skin feels more comfortable and less tight. The effect lasts all night, leaving my skin soft and comfortable in the morning.

Honey mask

Texture: gel, sticky

When I use this: in the morning, after other moisturizers but before sunscreen

Effects: this mask is less moisturizing than the rice mask, but it doesn't leave the oily texture of the other one, so it's good to wear under sunscreen. It also "sticks" really well to the skin, while with some other moisturizers, I feel like applying sunscreen on top moves them around. It effectively locks down other layers and keeps them in place. This one also is pretty good at reducing redness, so it's good for daytime use.
