A REVIEW OF DMCK SNAIL CREAM

It is no secret that I am a fan of snail products. A snail sheet mask was my gateway product. I have tubes of my favorite snail gel stashed in my purse, desk, and car. So I am always up for trying new snail products and the lux DMCK Snail Cream was a pretty exciting one for me to try.
The three active ingredients of the DMCK Snail Cream are snail secretion filtrate, macadamia seed oil, and enriched hyaluronic acid. All of these are wonderful ingredients for nourishing your skin. According to the tube of DMCK Snail Cream, “Snail secretion filtrate provides a great source of rich nutrients and moisture instantly. The skin becomes firmer, smoother and well-boosted after each usage,” and that it does. Snail may be one of the most iconic and recognized ingredients in Korean skincare. In particular, the Snail secretion filtrate contains two powerhouse ingredients of its own: hyaluronic acid and glycolic acid. Macadamia seed oil is another great ingredient for the skin as it doesn’t clog pores and acts similar to the sebum our skin produces naturally. Macadamia seed oil moisturizes the skin and helps protect its natural barrier. Hyaluronic acid packs a punch as a natural ingredient. It is considered a humectant and can hold 6000% of its weight in water and pulls hydration deep into your skin!
This is a rather larger tube than I am used to using as a face cream, which is 200g (over 7 oz)! With a very light fragrance, this white cream is thinner and similar to a gel, it’s quick-absorbing and non-greasy. For one night, I tested the product by putting the cream on one side of my face and not the other before I went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning I could feel the difference because the right side of my face that was creamed was less oily and felt softer than the left side. I could definitely see myself using this cream for more than just my face on a regular basis. With a tube as large at this one, it will definitely last a while. A little bit goes a long way!
