TIA’M MY SIGNATURE VITA RED TONER REVIEW

KAYLA ALLARD on JUNE 12, 2020

Toners are still my favorite skincare product and probably will be until the end of time. When I find a new toner that not only leaves my face feeling refreshed, clean, and hydrated but it also doesn’t aggravate my sensitive acne, then it’s truly a great day of discovery! So now, let me introduce you to my newest love, the TIA’M My Signature Vita Red Toner.

This toner definitely tries to tackle a lot! It aims to create luminous skin, brighten the skin from common conditions of acne scars, freckles and skin tone as well as enhance hydration, and overall restores the skin.

The ingredients are the stars of this toner. It’s packed with Vitamin B12 which helps with the fading acne scars and soothing the skin. It also has Vitamin Tree Fruit Extract and Hibiscus Extract, ingredients both of which focus on soothing and brightening.  The last star ingredient is Pomegranate Extract, which aims towards moisturizing and firming the skin.

TIA’M recommends using the toner in 4 different ways. The first is through the “3 Skin Method”, which is the reapplication of the toner 3 different times to the skin. The second method is the  “Vitamin Pack” which uses a cotton pad mask. All you need to do is thoroughly coat a cotton pad with the toner. You simply place it on the areas needed. For the third method, the brand recommends keeping this as a mist to spray across your face when needed. And finally, they suggest mixing this with their Red C Serum in a 2:1 ration to create a “Double Vitamin” effect.

My experience with this toner has been a pretty positive one and it’s a toner I really enjoy currently. I was worried because upon my first initial application, it did cause some mild stinging that wasn’t itchy but definitely a little uncomfortable. However I didn’t experience any breakouts from this toner afterwards. I was more cautious moving forward and used this 3 times in a week before I finally started using it more daily.

In terms of the claims, I can’t report much on the fading of my acne scars. It’s only been about 3 weeks of using this, and I think some of my acne scars are just too old for this to make a significant difference on them. As for the overall skin tone, my skin always looked brighter and healthier after using this. I would almost even compare my skin’s appearance to a filter-like effect! My favorite thing about this toner is how hydrating it is. It has a watery consistency that at first it feels like it just disappears into the skin. Then you feel your face after and you can feel how much softer it is! It’s quite the perfect lightweight yet hydrating toner and I can see this becoming a go-to for me in the summer, especially when San Diego gets beyond 100 degrees!

I would highly recommend trying this toner, especially when it’s on sale at Jolse. The price can get down to $14 (original is around $20). For 130ml, the $14 sale price is a really good value.
