This concealer kit looked really promising as it was part of Etude House’s new Big Cover line. I’ve read reviews of the other Big Cover products and they sounded really good, so I had high hopes about this. I bought this before any English reviews came out online about this particular product, but now I honestly wish I waited ><;;

Heiley also reviewed this in the official Jolse reviews after I bought this, but her review came out before I received the kit in the mail. She quite liked it but mentioned that some people rated this poorly in other Korean reviews. I unfortunately have to agree that this concealer kit isn’t too great >< I love that it has 3 different shades, that are supposed to be for different types of blemishes. I mostly wanted this for the Pink Bisque shade that was for dark circles, since it’s a shade that is supposed to help with dark circles. I don’t have any other major blemishes that need concealer, so a good dark circle concealer is what I really need.

Unfortunately, even after I applied the Pink Bisque concealer, I saw little to no change, except that my under eye area looked a little whiter. Even when I layered on the Vanilla shade over it, it didn’t do anything. I usually use Tony Moly’s Face Mix Cover Pot Concealer, and that as a single product (and it’s cheaper too) works much, much better in color and in texture.

I have swatched the three shades of the concealer kit on my arm, and have included the photo below (for reference, my skin is between MAC NC15 and NC20 in shade). Pink Bisque is very much pink, and very creamy. Vanilla is a very bright beige, and has the same creamy texture as Pink Bisque. Lastly, Sand is a natural beige, and is the shade that is closest to my skin tone out of the three (I usually use a no.21 in Korean makeup). Sand is the only one that has a different texture out of the three concealers— it feels thicker and stickier, and should have more adhesion that the other two. It is a little hard to see the difference in color between Vanilla and Sand, but Vanilla is definitely much brighter.

After trying multiple times to use this kit on my dark circles, it just doesn’t look good on me. The creamy texture of the concealer sort of melts underneath my eyes and settles into the tiny lines that are there, and look really bad.. even after setting with powder! The thing is, I’m still young, and the lines under my eyes are very minimal (hereditary rather than from age) yet this just finds them all and settles into them unattractively. I think this concealer it is better for other blemishes (scars, small pimples, discolorations other than dark circles) that are on “flatter” expanses of skin (hard to explain this.. like cheeks rather than under eyes?). This concealer kit also has a baby powder scent that is common in Etude House Products. It doesn’t smell as strong as the Beauty Shot Face Blur, but it is still definitely noticeable.

In all, I don’t really like this concealer kit at all, unfortunately >__<; I really can’t find use for it as I don’t have anything else to cover other than my dark circles. The packaging is cute and sturdy, and it has a cute mirror and brush (better to use your fingers with the concealer than the brush) but those are pretty much all I like about this. If you are looking to cover light scars or other small blemishes, or if your under eyes are baby smooth and you would want natural cover for your blemishes, then go ahead and give this a try.
