I love bubble hair dyes and finally bought Etude House’s dye to try it. I bought the color GR07 Khaki Brown. The bubble dye was easy to use; even though the instructions are in Korean, they’re quite straightforward. If you still need help, there are directions on how to use bubble hair dyes online. Also, if you are able to type in Hangeul on your computer or phone keyboard, type in the instructions on Google Translate! They are actually surprisingly accurate and clear in translating the directions.

This single box of bubble dye was enough for my medium-long length hair that reaches the middle of my back. The bubbles were good and didn’t disappear, unlike some other bubble dyes I’ve tried. The smell wasn’t that strong either, and the dye wasn’t hard to wash out afterwards and it didn’t stain my skin or my clothes. As for the included conditioner—don’t forget to use it after your wash out the dye!! After washing out the dye, my hair felt really stiff but after using the conditioner, it was really soft and silky. If Etude House sells that conditioner separately I’d want to buy it hehe.

This dye is really good, but I think one important thing was overlooked with this dye—there are no color swatches on the box that shows you what different results you can get from using this dye on black hair, dark hair, and light hair. I think that’s kind of crucial with buying and using a boxed dye. The single color swatch on the box isn’t reliable at all—the color I ended up with (after dyeing my dark chocolate-brown hair) ended up almost dark blonde-brown and nothing at all like the color on the box. I was expecting a neutral sort of brown like what was pictured, but it wasn’t like that at all. My resulting hair color had quite a bit of a dark blonde-orange shade going on when put in the light, not really something I wanted at all.

Aside from the unreliable color swatch, this is a really good dye and good value for its price, I think. I’d recommend this dye, just be careful with the shade! If you’re open-minded about the shade you will end up (which most likely won’t be what’s on the box), then go ahead and give this a try! ^^
