I’m really thankful that I was able to buy this makeup set promo! It’s an incredible value, considering that
with what I paid, that’s just around the equivalent of the cost of the cushion and eye
kit alone.
I’ve had some time to test most of
the products—just the eye kit I haven’t tried yet. First of all, I have to say
that I LOVE the cushion. I’ve tried many cushions in the past and none of them
have ever completely worked for me (even the Missha Magic Cushion that I loved
before failed me after a while). They were either a bad color match, had an unflattering
finish on my skin, or broke me out. I bought the set with the no. 21 shade
cushion, and it is PERFECT. It is not pink-toned or gray, like many K-beauty base products are. The finish is really natural and it lasts the whole day on me, and I
don’t get shiny or oily. That’s quite incredible, given as I usually have to
blot halfway through the day, but with this, I don’t need to till nearly
evening. I also haven’t had any bad skin reactions with it yet.
The contouring compact is really nice
too. I haven’t owned contouring makeup prior to this, and this works really
well for me and looks natural. It isn’t super pigmented, which is ideal, since
it’ll be harder to apply too much. I can see the shades working for people with
fairer skin tones, but it may not work as well for those with deeper skin
tones.
The lip & cheek/lipstick sticks
in the set are nice, a tiny bit on the dry side for my preference, but they
apply smoothly. The orange is a very wearable shade, and not excessive. The
coral pink shade looked a little strange on my lips for my skin tone, so I’ll
most likely just use it as a cheek shade.
The eye kit looks nice, but the
shadows were quite small in proportion to the size of their box. One thing though, is when the mascara and lash primer runs out, the eye kit will be far
too bulky for just 3 little shadows. It’s not a big deal though. The shadow
shades look pretty and would be good for natural makeup looks.
Last of all, I have to mention the
packaging—the cushion’s packaging is by far the most useful and creative
cushion packaging I’ve ever used. As shown in the photos, the lip & cheek
or lipstick stick in the AConcept line fits into a slot into the back end of
the cushion case. When you open the case, the lip & cheek stick
automatically rolls out! And, when you close the case, it rolls back into its
compartment. Every cushion should be designed like this. It can hold your lip
color (or even concealer stick, as they have that in their makeup line too) and
would be perfect for traveling. The packaging for the other makeup products
were just standard, with the contouring pact feeling a little fragile, but the
cushion packaging far makes up for it.
Even when not on sale, I could
recommend AConcept’s products, most especially the cushion! Thank you Jolse for
having this special set available! <3
