The applicator isn't really a brush type and is quite stiff so I would suggest to apply it gently on the eyelid. Also when I applied it in layers I noticed it peeling off. With one layer on it looks good. I'd suggest the blue and pink for darker skin tones. I have medium to light skin tone and the blue pops better on me than the red.
